Position Overview
Aquacultural Research Corporation’s Nightwatch Systems Supervisor is a reliable, responsible and well-organized staff person assisting with after-hours monitoring of life support systems for the hatchery, Dennis nursery and Wholesale Operation. The Nightwatch Systems Supervisor reports directly to the Hatchery Manager, is a team player, has excellent observational skills and communication.
Position Status
-Permanent, full time hourly
-Reports directly to Hatchery Manager
-Daily, 4pm - 12am shift or 12am - 8am shift with potential for flexibility, including Holidays and weekends
Responsibilities and Duties
-Conducting hourly rounds to inspect that all operations are functioning properly and recording temperatures in a log
-Coordinating the schedule for nightwatch coverage with the other nightwatch systems monitors
-Greets and records people entering and leaving the property
-Afternoon systems monitor coordinates with UPS
-Alert concerns to the Hatchery Manager and General Manager
-Assist with light repairs and adjustments
-Perform other duties as directed, including but not limited to:
Changing filters
Cleaning pump baskets
Monitoring the generator when operating
Physical Requirements
-Able to climb stairs multiple times during shift
-Walk on uneven surfaces, wet flooring, differents types of terrain
-Reaching, lifting, standing on ladder and/or step stool
Qualifications and Skills
-Minimum of a High School Diploma, preferred but not required
-Excellent verbal and written communications; legible handwriting
-Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
-Reliable
