Wellfleet Shellfish Company is looking for bright, energetic, and organized individuals to lead and supervise our warehouse operations.
This individual is responsible for:
-Overseeing and managing a staff of 3 to 9 co-workers.
-Processing, inventorying, and shipping local seafood products.
-Working with fisherman and farmer vendors in assisting offloads.
-Overseeing product flow and sanitation in a processing and warehouse environment.
-Using available computer hardware and software programs to receive, process, inventory, and ship product.
-Continuously communicating with sales and management staff on product levels and vendor needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Warehouse and Seafood Handling Experience a must (fishing, farming, processing).
- Prior experience in product workflow management a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong developed skill and ability to multi task projects with attention to detail
- Work experience that shows supervisory roles with strong leadership results
- A background in training/teaching
- Prior experience working within a team environment.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience managing product flow activities in a successful enterprise.
- Bilingual a plus
- Lobster experience a plus
