Audrey Sterk Design is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to work under the direction of the principal. Audrey Sterk Design is a high-end residential design firm located in Downtown Nantucket
Position Requirements:
Manage multiple projects and deadlines of various sizes, from conception to completion.
Source new products, vendors, and inspiration for the design team to use during projects.
Develop detailed design concepts and provide programming and space planning analysis.
Demonstrate understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts.
Perform field measurements and verification with Design Assistant
Prepare floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design drawings, furniture layouts.
Create construction documents and specifications that can be used for ordering and communicating with contractors, workrooms and vendors.
Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Possess technical proficiency in building construction, techniques and materials.
Manage construction process and contractor/subcontractors to ensure that project deadlines are being met.
Oversee project administration performed by Design Assistant: review Proposals and Purchase Orders
Create invoices monthly for clients in collaboration with Design Assistant and Business Manager.
Coordinate and oversee installations and deliveries.
To be considered for the position, candidates must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design
5+ years of experience in post-graduate Interior Design
Professional work ethic and appearance
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or Sketchup required.
Proficiency in Accounting/Project Management software a plus
Strong design, visualization, and communication skills
Detail oriented, team oriented and self-motivated
Problem-solving skills
Organization and time management skills
