I'm debating taking on a live-in house/inn keeper for a year-round rent in exchange for a room & utilities arrangement.
It would be a maximum of 2 hours a day, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
The home also has three short-term rental rooms that need daily cleaning, although all three needing to be turned over in a single day is rare. Plus minor cleaning downstairs. I am the only one who lives here, and only during the winter on occasion, as I travel a lot.
Because I am an extremely hands-off employer, the vetting process, should I decide to move forward, would be extremely involved, including background checks, references, etc. The previous person who had this position, I had probably spoken to a half dozen times over the course of two years, and face-to-face 2 times. The home is in Dennis Port, just off Sea Street Beach. The room is typical of a large bedroom, but with its own entrance and includes all utilities, including wi-fi and cable TV. Right now, I am just getting a feel for who is out there, and if things look good, I'll move forward with all the legalities of the arrangement.
