The Facilities Manager for the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School is responsible for facilitating and scheduling maintenance and security of the building. This is a 12-month, non-union position.
The Facility Manager manages the maintenance, grounds, and day and night custodial staff. Performance responsibilities include ensuring the efficient operation of the school's building management system, which services the heating, cooling, electrical, lighting, mechanical, and alarm system. Scheduling of routing preventative maintenance services. Monitoring of project work to the building and acting as liaison between staff and contractors. Scheduling of routine daily and periodic major cleaning, including the cleaning and dusting of classrooms, windows, and corridors, as well as assisting in the preparation and cleanup of school facilities for special occasions and functions. Requisition of necessary equipment or material for proper discharge of duties. Prepare weekly work orders, on call scheduling, and overtime as needed. Develop and support training, certifications, and development of maintenance and custodial staff. Assist in snow removal and sanding/salting. Assist in shipping and deliveries. Adhere to all Federal, State, and local reporting requirements associated with building maintenance. Assist in the hiring of staff. Serve on the Safety committee. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Business Manager and Superintendent.
Applicants must be able to work on the present BMS system and Google Suite. The ability to create and work from a budget, including processing purchase orders, preparing bids, and having the ability to evaluate, select, and manage appropriate vendors for services. Knowledge of facilities, building systems, construction and IT terminology. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, environmental agency requirements and life safety systems.
Able to perform heavy physical labor including lifting to 75lbs. Ideal candidate must be dependable and act appropriately, and respectfully around students, staff, and the public.
A valid Massachusetts driver's license is required
5-Years of relevant experience preferred
Rotating on call as needed.
