Description A growing Technology Services company is in need of an efficient Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis in the Canton, Massachusetts area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls, while also providing support on special requests when required
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with external auditors
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
ERP system experience
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
min of 3 years of overall general accounting experience, Will also entertain all public accounting candidates
BA/BS in Accounting,
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Monthly Sales Tax experience
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Experience with bank reconciliations
Cash Flow experience
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
