Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for an education industry role based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a Sr. Accountant, you'll be entrusted with various responsibilities ranging from managing cash flows to providing training for new team members. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the corporate card program, including assisting with orders and resolving any issues. Handle the creation and booking of billable invoices for different projects and ensure the collection of outstanding receivables. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing detailed account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records. Prepare and post complex journal entries and adjustments as part of the month-end and year-end closing processes. Manage, monitor, and report on cash flow, initiating federal cash drawdowns and reconciling them. Maintain and update various schedules such as project lists and cash flows. Conduct monthly project closing reviews and processing. Review and approve AP batches and purchase orders. Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets schedule and record depreciation entries. Provide accounting processes and system end-user training for new team members. Assist in preparing for year-end close and audit work paper preparation.
