Research Associate - Global Gene Therapy Operations

Job Description

  • Independently work with team members to enable Ariba purchasing and interface with global systems teams for issue resolution.
  • Submitting Purchase Orders and budget tracking.
  • Interactwith Scientific teams to ensure smooth and expedited processing of requests.
  • Work closely with teams to identify any delays in processing requests.
  • Assist manager with the Lab Operations & Procurement Category Lead for new CapEx equipment.
  • Provide support and submit contract requests and independently interfacing with Legal to drive timely completion of agreements.
  • Assist manager with projects associated with Procurement, Legal, Facilities, and other groupsto facilitate execution of objectives and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to Sharepoint strategy, maintain group sites and identify additional tools to enhance group communication.
  • Assist Operations Lead on special projects as necessary to advance objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry desired
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and contracts in a global matrix/team environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • Proficiency in SharePoint
  • Requires limited guidance while executing tasks
  • Must be able to apply critical thinking skills to identify business problems/ risks/ issues, and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple projects and processes within a matrix environment
  • Detailed Oriented, Team Player, quick to grasp client's legal and procurement systems, processes and teams as well as stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgement to resolve issues
  • Independently make decisions where appropriate but also understand when to seek approval
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Strong willingness to collaborate to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Ability to identify and implement processes that provide information and transparency to business
  • Sensitivity toward challenging timelines
  • Comfort operating in an environment where the organizational structure and scientific strategy is constantly evolving
  • Ability to understand needs and actions in situations where clarity does not exist

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Camrbidge, MA are encouraged to apply.
