Our commitment to research, development, and cutting-edge technology has positioned us at the forefront of the drug delivery segment of the pharmaceutical industry.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:As the Global Head of Device Development Portfolio you will play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to develop state-of-the-art drug delivery systems that have the potential to transform the way medications are delivered to patients. You will lead a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists in the end-to-end development, industrialization, and life cycle management of medical devices that will help patients and healthcare workers deliver our innovative medicines and vaccines. This role requires a strategic thinker, a visionary leader with cross-functional perspective, and a deep technical expert who can drive programs from concept to commercialization. This role involves close collaboration with R&D senior leadership, the commercial business units (Specialty Care, General Medicines, and Vaccines), as well as Manufacturing and Supply leadership to deliver device technologies that enhance the value of the drug and provide competitive advantage. The Global Head will lead our internal Portfolio Heads in each of the therapeutic areas as well as key strategic external partners to deliver on our ambition.

Lead the therapeutic area Device Portfolio Heads and Device development core team leaders to develop, industrialize and launch medical devices to enable delivery of our drugs and vaccines for all three Sanofi business units. Oversee projects through completion of milestones following a regulated, structured development process and appropriate governance.

Set a high bar for team to push the boundaries of the development paradigm, by balancing risk with rigor to optimize and scale the product development process based on scope, complexity and risk. Develop key KPIs to drive performance excellence and improvements through management of budget, schedule delivery, and scope.

Develop a strong network and partnership with R&D, Medical, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, and Manufacturing and ensure strong stakeholder ties and management by influencing and ensuring fluid communication regarding project objectives, priorities, progress, and critical issues.

Partner with the Global Business Units and Head of Device Strategy to establish and implement the medical device product strategies, including investment planning for new programs based on cost studies and proposals for capacity and resource planning.

Optimize development effort through balance of internal capabilities complimented with key external partnerships to ensure best-in-class performance.

Stay abreast of the technology and Regulatory landscape and compliance standards applicable to the global target markets of Sanofi’s drug and vaccine device portfolio, to ensure seamless product development and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Raise the bar by building and inspiring a high performing team consisting of the perfect balance of deep technical expertise coupled with broad cross-functional perspective, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.

ABOUT YOUWe are seeking a dynamic, passionate leader with deep technical expertise and broad knowledge of drug-device combination products, to join our team and drive performance excellence in device development and position our organization for long-term growth and success.Experience & Qualifications :

Minimum of 15-20 years of drug-device combination product experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated track record of success.

Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams in bringing medical devices from concept to commercialization. Executive-level experience leading product development organizations highly desired.

A track record of fostering innovation and solving complex technical challenges in medical device development to drive business impact and growth.

Strong understanding of combination product and medical device regulations and standards. Experience in navigating regulatory pathways for combination products, and leading team through successful submission and approval of regulatory filings.

Deep insights of market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs in the medical device industry.

Active participation in industry associations, conferences, and networks to stay updated on industry trends and build relationships. Top of Form

Experience in establishing and managing strategic external collaborations and partnerships in a global environment to deliver objectives and drive business impact.

Experienced in operational and fiscal responsibilities as well as resource allocation for on time and on budget delivery.

Skills :

Ability to think strategically, creatively and purposefully while managing multiple programs.

Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate changing business conditions and effectively shift strategy and priorities based on dynamics.

Education : BS in engineering or scientific discipline, advanced degree desired.

Languages : Fluent in English, French or German basic knowledge is a plus
