Job Description

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR 2, Housing and Residential Services (HRS), to be responsible for financial and administrative operations for Housing and Residential Services, ensuring that departmental practices are in compliance with Institute policies and procedures. Will manage complex financial and administrative processes in support of the department’s annual $38M operational and $10M construction and repair and maintenance budgets. Responsibilities include developing budgets and monitoring expenses related to construction projects, repair and maintenance spending, and designated operational line items; and providing budget detail reports and financial analysis; and managing procedures related to vendor contracts in coordination with the Department of Facilities, including the processing of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and requests for bids. Job RequirementsREQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years of experience in accounting or finance; flexibility and ability to adapt to change and use a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving; and excellent interpersonal, customer service and written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED: accounting, budget, and financial skills; proficiency with electronic accounting systems such as SAP, Excel, and other computer-based programs; general knowledge of work trades and construction; and ability to work in a team-oriented fashion.
