Responsibilities Music Therapist Opportunity - Full Time HRI Hospital is seeking Music Therapist / Activity Therapists for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. This is a 40 hour per week, Tuesday - Saturday position. HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. Run assigned treatment groups to meet the need of various functioning level and/or diagnostic categories

Utilize interviewing techniques, observations, formal and informal screening/evaluation tools to assess functional level of patients

Identify patients’ assets and problem areas

Collaborate with patients in goal-setting

Recommend appropriate activities for goal attainment and assist patients to select appropriate groups and activities

Complete daily notes for each group

Qualifications

Requirements

Education: Master’s in human services related field required. Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other expressive therapy speciality preferred. OR Bachelor's degree + MT-BC

License: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, or OT preferred

Experience: One year prior inpatient clinical experience preferred. Six months prior experience as a group leader preferred.
