Responsibilities
Operate waste collection vehicles on assigned routes efficiently and safely.
Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Collect waste materials from residential and commercial properties.
Dispose of waste to local farms.
Engage with customers and address any concerns or inquiries professionally.
Sort and identify recyclable materials during collection processes.
Maintain accurate records of daily collections and report any issues to Operations.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to promote safe driving practices.
Requirements
Valid US driver's license (6 years) with a clean driving record.
Background check
Ability to use routing software.
Previous experience in waste management or driving heavy vehicles is preferred.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in vehicle operation.
Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, up to 50 pounds.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
