POSITION SUMMARY: The Resident Services Associate will be responsible for driving residents to the appointed destinations, ensuring the safety of the resident(s), knowing the protocol for emergencies, and being familiar with the local area and adjacent towns. When there is no driving assignment, the associate is responsible for assisting in other areas as needed. Quality customer service is a top priority for everyone at the Village.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet residents with a friendly smile, provide a hand/arm as needed to help the resident in and out of the car
Maintain confidentiality of resident care information to assure resident rights are protected
Perform Resident Services daily routine, driving, delivery of groceries/packages, copy making, other additional tasks
Assist with resident daily requests – Provide Lasell Village information for classes, events etc.
Experience driving a (14) passenger shuttle bus for weekly scheduled grocery store trips and/or scheduled OFF CAMPUS events - No CDL required
Retrieve transportation messages, return calls as needed, and book appointments as requested
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook
Learn how to use Village website, Package Scanner, and willingness to learn new applications is a plus
Maintain all safety rules, laws of the road, seatbelts, hands free cell phone driving
Keep car in a clean and tidy condition, vehicle daily inspection, gas tank is at least half-full upon return to the Village at the end of the day
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid U.S. driver’s license with good driving record; drivers will need to produce an official driving record annually
Must have high school diploma / GED

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lift walkers/rollators into cars and onto (14) passenger shuttle bus
Ascend/descend stairs/walking for extended periods of time
Must be able to move/lift 50 lbs.
