Seeking Female Industrial Painters for Bridge Painting in MA
We are seeking women to work on our rapid-deployment bridge painting crews throughout the state of Massachusetts. Successful candidates will have some experience with painting and/or construction trades.

The job requires considerable flexibility as we work around traffic and other variables. Night and weekend work is common, with shifts ranging from 8-12 hours in length. Travel and reliable transportation is also necessary, as painters typically commute up to 75 miles each way. Lastly, you must be willing to work around lead-based coatings, which exist on most of the bridge structures we perform work on. You will receive the necessary safety training and equipment for such work.
Essential Duties:
There are many different aspects of this trade, which include the following tasks:
Erecting and dismantling scaffolding and staging
Erecting paint containments with tarpaulins and lumber
Utilizing power-tools including pneumatic staplers, skilsaws, needle-scalers, etc.
Applying solvent-based coatings via brushes, rollers, and sprayers
Pressure-washing steel beams and surrounding concrete surfaces.
Shoveling and disposing of pigeon droppings, roadway accumulations, and paint waste.
Other miscellaneous construction tasks.
Job Requirements
We are a union contractor and therefore you must be willing to join the International Union of Painters and Allied trades apprenticeship program. This is a roughly 3-year program with progressive wage-increases every 750 hours.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Must be willing to commute up to 75 miles each way.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be a US citizen with a valid SSN.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be capable of performing manual labor for the entire shift.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
