Mirra Co, Inc. is looking for a Road Service Mechanic for Heavy Equipment, Commercial motor vehicles. This is a Full Time Position based from our Georgetown, MA office with traveling to job sites in New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Includes a company vehicle, Service Truck.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Road Mechanic prevents and corrects equipment malfunctions at the customer job sites for all types of equipment (e.g., mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Services and oversees repairs of all types of equipment at the job site
Conducts preventive maintenance
Performs safety inspections on equipment
Maintains a safe shop work environment and company vehicle
Adheres to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements
Performs other duties assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years' experience as mechanic with Diesel equipment, hydraulics and welding
Trade school or Technical training desirable-experience with Cat, Kenworth and other types of heavy equipment
DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) along with Hydraulics License recommended: CDL License would be a plus
Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be physically able to work in extreme conditions on job sites
On-Call and some overtime work
Pay is based on experience and skill level
