Job Ad: Seeking Maintenance Supervisor & Maintenance Technician
Location: Lowell, MA
Maintenance Supervisor Salary: $34–$35/hour
Maintenance Technician Salary: $26/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (On-call for after-hours emergencies)
Units: garden-style, family, project-based Section 8 units
Relocation: Must live within 30 minutes of the property

Overview:
We are actively seeking a Maintenance Supervisor and a Maintenance Technician for our property. These roles are vital to maintaining a safe, comfortable living environment for our residents and ensuring that all maintenance work meets company standards. Both positions offer an excellent opportunity for professional growth and to be a part of a supportive, dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of maintenance tasks.
Manage unit turnovers and ensure vacant units meet established standards.
Oversee the upkeep of common areas, grounds, and building systems to ensure safety and compliance.
Coordinate emergency on-call schedules with the Community Manager and assist with maintenance budgeting.
Conduct inspections and collaborate with agency partners to address any violations or improvements.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical system repairs.
Respond to service requests and maintenance issues from residents in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of all property systems.
Handle emergency repairs as part of the on-call rotation.
Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with property regulations, especially PB8.
Qualifications:
Maintenance Supervisor:
At least 3 years of maintenance experience, with 1+ years of supervisory experience (preferred).
Familiarity with PB8 properties and HUD regulatory inspections is required.
Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Maintenance Technician:
At least 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily housing.
Solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Ability to perform repairs, troubleshoot, and follow safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Both Positions:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to work emergency on-call shifts as needed.
