Job Summary :
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice or Journeyman to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field while working alongside skilled professionals. The Carpenter Apprentice will assist in various construction projects, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in carpentry.
Duties
Assist experienced carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Learn to measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Participate in flooring installation, siding application, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and tile laying tasks.
Help with remodeling projects by following blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
Support the team in construction estimating by gathering necessary materials and understanding project requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks while working with tools and materials.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of carpentry skills such as framing, flooring installation, siding, trim carpentry, remodeling, cabinet installation, and tile laying is preferred. We will train skills, but a basic knowledge is required.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry work.
Strong willingness to learn from experienced professionals and take on new challenges.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
Good physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
