Position Purpose
The Zoom Host provides service support for the Zoom part of the Sunday worship service at Theodore
Parker Church. They interface with the minister, church staff and with volunteers as needed to
troubleshoot any issues that come up.

Essential Functions:
Starting the meeting, making AV volunteers, speakers, and any other staff members - co-hosts
Review the equipment default settings - for sound and confirming sound transmission
Recording the meeting as it starts (and then ensuring its compilation on the user's local PC
when done)
Spotlighting the individual participants in the sanctuary (if their PC is to transmit over zoom)
Spotlighting service participants from home (if they are participating in the service remotely)
Letting zoom participants into the Service, and posting pre-defined "chat" messages during
the service
Being available for tech support throughout the service, by troubleshooting & tracking
problems
Launching the service breakout room for zoom participants after the service
Closing down the zoom room after the service ends
Uploading the recording (once it has successfully compiled) to a remote location where it can
be edited and then posted onto You-Tube
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
Must have familiarity with Zoom and used it features extensively.
Must have some technical awareness for audio equipment and how AV equipment picks up
sound.
College-level coursework and a high school degree strongly recommended.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with Zoom and its most used features (logging in and opening a zoom meeting,
posting to Chat, launching a Breakout Room, spotlighting, starting a recording and monitoring
the complied files that are created when recording).
Familiarity with sound equipment and its interaction with Zoom’s audio.
