Hair Stylist – Penthouse Salon (Booth Rental or Commission Option)

Penthouse Salon is where beauty meets community. Our mission is to give Black women their flowers every day by providing an elevated salon experience that centers care, creativity, and excellence.
We specialize in sew-ins, silk presses, braids, and natural hair, and we are currently seeking passionate, professional, and self-motivated Hair Stylists to join our team under two flexible options:
Option 1: Booth Rental Stylist
As a Booth Rental Stylist, you will operate as an independent stylist, bringing your own clientele while enjoying access to our stylish, centrally located salon and premium amenities.
What You Get:
- Your own salon station with access to:
- Wash station
- Dryer station
- Common salon amenities including snacks, coffee, tea, WiFi, and streaming services
- Inclusion in Penthouse Salon’s marketing and social media features
What’s Expected:
- Maintain your own clientele and booking system
- Be a licensed stylist with up-to-date insurance (as required by state)
- Adhere to salon cleanliness, professionalism, and shared standards
- Pay weekly or monthly booth rent (flexible terms available)
Option 2: Commission Stylist
As a Commissioned Stylist, you’ll be a valuable part of our team with full back-end and educational support, plus all tools and products needed to succeed and grow.
What You Get
- Wash and dryer stations
- Full back bar and styling products
- Towels and capes (laundry service included)
- Tools provided (blow dryers, flat irons, etc.)
- Snacks, beverages, WiFi, streaming services
- Penthouse Salon’s branding, marketing, and social media exposure
- Ongoing training and mentorship
- Choose your own hours
- Support with booking, reminders, and client communication
What’s Expected:
- A commitment to excellent customer service and salon professionalism
- Willingness to grow your clientele with support from the salon
- Strong interest in or experience with sew-ins, silk presses, braids, and natural hair
- Must be a licensed stylist in the state of Massachusetts
