Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM, Saturdays as needed. This is an hourly position.
L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the Purchasing and Inventory functions of the branch such as buying and receiving materials, managing our replenishment system across all categories and ensuring inventory accuracy by implementing inventory control best practices.
Specific duties may include:
Purchasing of materials across all categories for current/anticipated stock needs and special order sales
Managing inventory levels using replenishment system based on historical purchases
Analyzing material costs and availability across all material vendors
Conducting cycle counts in warehouse and ensuring ERP system accuracy
Assisting in the development of branch sales plan and strategy
Assisting in the design and execution of merchandising strategy
Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions, up-selling additional products and supplies for each job
Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers in a timely manner
Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
Arranging with the warehouse for customer product pickup
Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise
Specific qualifications include:
5+ years of specific industry knowledge, including familiarity with drywall, steel, insulation, lumber, and/or acoustical ceilings, is required
Previous experience in purchasing and inventory control is preferred
Cycle counting product experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
