Position Summary

The Leasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing leasing activities across affordable housing and market-rate rental communities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with residents from diverse backgrounds. The Leasing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting compliance with low-income housing program requirements, handling resident recertifications, and ensuring efficient day-to-day leasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of leasing, renewals, and recertifications for both affordable housing (including low-income housing tax credit programs) and market-rate rentals.

Conduct applicant screening, income verification, and prepare documentation for initial certifications and annual recertifications.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local housing program regulations.

Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, addressing inquiries, maintenance requests, and lease-related issues.

Market available units through digital listings, outreach, and community engagement to maintain high occupancy rates.

Coordinate unit showings, application processing, and lease signings.

Maintain accurate resident files and leasing reports in compliance with property management policies.

Assist in preparing compliance reports and responding to audits as required.

Serve as a bilingual (English/Spanish) point of contact to effectively support Spanish-speaking residents and applicants.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or affordable housing programs (LIHTC experience strongly preferred).

Knowledge of HUD regulations, low-income housing programs, and compliance requirements.

Experience with market-rate rental leasing and tenant relations.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively serve residents from diverse backgrounds.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.

Work Environment

This position is in office in Andover with occasional evening or weekend hours for leasing events, resident meetings, or compliance deadlines
