Part Time Financial Literacy Coordinator
YWCA Malden is an innovative community-based organization with a mission of Empowering Women and Eliminating Racism. The organization’s unique programs are targeted to underserved low-income women, girls, and families of color in the urban community of Malden, Massachusetts.
Position Description
The Women’s Economic Literacy Project is designed to the advance economic opportunity for women by offering a comprehensive financial education program to improve money management and financial health among participants.
Responsibilities
Working with an advisory group, the Project Coordinator will build on
the success of YWCA Financial Education workshops using field-tested
curriculum materials and an interactive program model. Pre-and post tests
are essential elements of the program.
Delivering financial education workshops to existing YWCA clients including
women living in our residency; parents of children attending our after school program; and parenting teens who are enrolled in high school. This includes assisting clients in setting both short term and long term goals.
Creating one-to-one mentoring and coaching opportunities as part of both personal planning and micro-enterprise planning.
Requirements: Background in financial literacy and adult education, and well-development presentation skills.
Commitment to the YWCA mission and experience working with a wide range of cultures.
