About the Role

As a Direct Care Staff member, you will play a pivotal role in our residents’ journey toward healing and growth. You’ll be part of a dedicated treatment team, working in a trauma-informed environment to support the emotional and behavioral needs of our youth. Your mission is to create a safe, structured space where young people can learn healthier coping strategies and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Documentation: Ensure meticulous record-keeping of all interactions, incidents, and progress. Your attention to detail helps us provide the best care possible.

Behavior Management: Utilize techniques learned during training to respond to crises and support residents through challenging times.

Safety and Security: Maintain a safe environment by conducting regular room searches, fire drills, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Advocacy and Support: Engage in one-on-one and group meetings, fostering healthy relationships and advocating for the needs of each resident.

Life Skills Coaching: Assist residents with daily activities such as transportation, medical appointments, and personal development tasks.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical coordinators, program nurses, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care.

Facility Upkeep: Oversee the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.

Training Participation: Stay updated with ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Special Overnight Duties

Conduct hourly checks to ensure the safety and presence of all residents.

Maintain building security and clean common areas.

Stay alert and awake throughout the shift, ensuring a vigilant presence.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; some college or a bachelor's degree is a plus.

Experience: Previous experience working with youth in a residential setting is preferred.

Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Driving: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, and you must be willing to use your personal vehicle when necessary.
