A Better Chance of Andover seeks a Resident Assistant for the 2024-25 academic year
We have an opportunity for a Resident Assistant to live in residence at the ABC dormitory on Main Street in Andover, MA with our 9 Scholars for the coming school year. ABC Scholars are young BIPOC women who come from around the country to attend Andover High School for a pathway to college and an opportunity to grow, thrive, and become leaders.

The Resident Assistant (RA) position is a live-in position from mid-August through mid-June. with a part-time rotating schedule that allows the RA to pursue their career, studies or social life. Hours vary between 15-25 hours per week depending on whether scheduled for weekend duty. Off-duty time occurs during the school day, on rotating weekday evenings and weekends when not on duty, and on scheduled school vacations (at Thanksgiving, December, February and April.

RAs are provided with large private bedrooms, dinners, cable, internet, utilities, and parking for the academic year. RAs can also remain in the dormitory during July and August.
>> Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or upper-class undergraduate pursuing a degree); current driver’s license and auto insurance; experience working with teens or young adults preferred. Candidates must have the ability to maintain discipline with compassion and consistency within a close dormitory living situation. RAs can be employed or attending school while in the position.
