Our client, a non-profit organization located in Dorchester, is seeking a Development Assistant for 6 months or more. This is a full-time on-site position, Monday through Friday, offering up to $22/hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today!The Development Assistant is responsible for supporting all administrative functions within the Development Department as well as supporting stewardship for all donors' part of the donor base. This position will coordinate an array of tasks and projects related to building a more robust portfolio of donors including but not limited to annual fundraising event planning, donor relations, and group volunteer management. ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS:Maintain all donor data entry and preliminary analysis of data in fundraising software, including gifts via other online giving sites.Manage reconciliation of donations with Finance Department and support all administrative functions of the Development Department. Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and other correspondence in a timely manner and with attention to detail.Conduct prospect research for private funding opportunities.IN-KIND DONATION MANAGEMENT:Manage all aspects of St. Mary's Center's in-kind donation process including the intake, storage and processing of in-kind donations, distribution of in-kind donations in partnership with St. Mary's Center's Program Leadership team and tracking and acknowledgement of all in-kind donation.DONOR MANAGEMENT:Working with Development Team, support annual fund logistics and strategy, holiday/ other in-kind giving initiatives, including providing donors with needs/wish lists in collaboration with program staff, coordinating deliveries, responding to inquiries, tracking information, and coordination of, thanking and stewarding donors. FUNDRAISING EVENT MANAGEMENT:Support the Development team, President, and third-party events on meeting annual fundraising event implementation.Maintain special event guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials, and other duties as assigned for fundraising events.
