Quality Leader (Machining)

Hudson, MA – CNC Machine Shop is searching for an experienced Leader for in our Quality Control Department

We are seeking an experienced Quality Leader to join our inspection team. As lead inspector you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes, from raw material inspection to finished machined components. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for delivering precise and reliable mechanical components to our customers. There will be opportunities for growth and expanding leadership for a candidate that puts forth the strong effort and demonstrates the needed skills. But first and foremost, they must be able to prove themselves as an excellent mechanical inspector and leader.

Job Qualifications

· 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry

· 2 years’ experience in Quality Control / Inspection

Job Responsibilities

· Conduct regular inspections of material and parts both in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings and specifications.

· Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues, and provide training on quality procedures

· Ability to manage the flow of work and priorities, within and throughout the Quality Department, while being able to assist others on best practices and techniques.

· Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, including an understanding of GD&T

· Responsible for creating and managing First Article Inspections (FAI’s) to the AS9100 standard for our customers as needed.

· Ability to effectively communicate with employees, vendors and customers for timely resolutions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

· Experience working in a fast-paced job shop/manufacturing environment.

· Experience with AS9100.

· Experience in hands-on mechanical inspection.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and exercise judgement.
