Pay: $26 - $36 an hour depending on experience, Overtime available

Job Summary

As the Lead CNC Setup Machinist, you will lead a team of machinists and ensure that all operations meet our rigorous standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. This role requires both hands-on CNC expertise and strong leadership skills, as you will assist workflow, resolve technical issues, and promote a productive, safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and set up CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) as needed to support production.

Oversee daily CNC machining operations, ensuring efficient workflow.

Conduct quality checks on completed parts, ensuring they meet GP&G Corp.’s specifications.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to machinists, promoting skill development and best practices.

Troubleshoot machining issues and work with the team to resolve them swiftly to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineering and other departments to improve machining processes and implement enhancements.

Maintain equipment by organizing and overseeing routine maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup, and quality inspection (programming experience is a plus but not required).

Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools.

Previous supervisory or foreman experience is a plus but not required.

Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and guide team members.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
