Help the City of Boston go green!
Boston, MA launched its city-wide municipal composting service in August of 2022 and Garbage to Garden is looking for a green-living/compost enthusiast to join the Boston Street Team to promote Boston's City-wide Composting Program.
The Street Team is responsible for engaging with residents in the community while representing Garbage to Garden and the City of Boston’s Composting Program. This work includes knocking on doors and educating residents about the composting program, distributing curbside food waste bins, and driving around the city in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities include:
Representing Garbage to Garden and the City of Boston’s composting program in the community
Answering questions and educating residents about Boston’s new composting program
Safely operating a company vehicle in the city (1 ton pickup or cargo van)
Knocking on doors of eligible households
Onboarding interested residents
Distributing curbside food waste bins
Accurately tracking and reporting progress and signup data
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
A strong customer service mindset
Comfortable engaging with strangers and diverse groups of people
A results oriented approach
Willingness to learn on the fly
An interest in sustainability and recycling/composting
Requirements:
Experience using technology such as tablets, Google suite, Excel, etc.
Experience in sales/marketing, preferred
Must be available 10-30 hours weekly including early evening and weekend hours
Current MA class D license
A motor vehicle record (MVR) that has no violations, accidents, or convictions for at least the past three years
Ability to lift/handle 50 + lb objects
Must be able to be on feet walking/standing for up to 8 hours
Fluency in English
Multilingual in English plus one of the following languages is a plus: Spanish, Haitian Creole, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, and Cantonese Chinese
