Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented full-time Machine Shop Laborer team member to join our CNC Production Department. This role involves working in a machine shop environment and requires a willingness to perform tasks that can be physically demanding and involve exposure to graphite dust and machine fluids. The primary responsibility is cleaning out machines of fine graphite powder between scheduled jobs, along with additional tasks as assigned. Punctuality and consistent reliability are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Machine clean-outs
Maintain vacuum pumps
Cleaning the shop
Maintaining tool boxes
Completing filter changes and oil changes
Keeping supply inventory
Checking and changing out dust barrels
Monthly fire extinguisher inspections
Qualifications:
Essential:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain precise records
Understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when necessary
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Comfortable working in a dusty and physically demanding environment
Proven record of punctuality and reliability in previous roles
Preferred:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
