Romeiro’s Landscaping is seeking hard-working candidates to fill full-time landscaping positions as Landscape Maintenance Laborers.
The ideal candidates must have experience operating all basic maintenance equipment and the ability to perform quality work in a timely manner, must be a quick learner and take direction well as part of daily activities. Consistency and reliability are strong requirements for this job position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger.
Care for established lawns by mulching, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch or trimming around flower beds, walks or walls.
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners.
Gather and remove litter.
Ability to understand and follow Foreman’s orders.
Ability to work weekends a must.
Water lawns, trees or plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or watering cans.
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees or shrubs. Apply mulch when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and willingness to travel.
Basic understanding of commercial landscaping – spring clean-up, mulch, pruning, weekly maintenance, fall clean-ups, seasonal color displays, etc.
Experience as a crew member in landscape installations and/or mowing maintenance operations.
Experience in operating vehicles and powered equipment such as mowers, chain saws, gas sheers, weed whackers, and blowers.
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in commercial landscaping maintenance preferred.
Valid MA driver’s license.
