At Simply Miraculous Fine Gardening, we pride ourselves on delivering meticulous and high quaility work. We are a small family-run gardening business seeking a few outstanding humans to join our team. Whether you have professional gardening experience, or possess a passion for plant care and maintenance, we welcome your application.
We are currently seeking to fill 3 day and 4 day slots . Our week runs Monday through Thursday and shift times currently are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. At times when plant growth production increases, our workday stop times can run an hour or two later. Fridays maybe added in the future, but currently we don't have enough gardeners for a full crew on this day.
We primarily service the Hingham area.
It is important that our gardeners recognize that fine gardening is an art, requiring a distinct set of skills and mindset. It is very different than general landscaping. Training is important to us, as we want our gardeners to be confident at clientd properties when engaging in gardening tasks. We teach and share our knowledge that through out the gardening season we each other. Opportunities do present themselves to learn a new skill and praticing on improving upon them is encoureage.
FINE GARDENER ATTRIBUTES
Have a positive attitude and enjoy the outdoors even when the weather isn’t the best.
Be on time and ready to work at the scheduled start time.
Be respectful of other gardeners and the properties we service.
Must be able to work as part of a team, and help other gardeners during the workday.
We are fine gardeners, so the ability to pay close attention to detail is important.
Be able to work independently on site with other gardeners nearby.
Asks questions of the Lead Fine Gardener and/or Owner when unsure of any task needing to be performed
A true passion for plant care and maintenance
FINE GARDENER DUTIES
Maintains garden beds by performing weeding, dead heading, removal of leaf debris from garden beds throughout the season.
Aides in the installation and transplanting of flowers and shrubs.
Must pay close attention to detail, work efficiently, and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
Is able to work independently when trained on a particular gardening task.
Can perform or is willing to learn how to hand prune ornamental shrubs.
Organic fertilization of various plants and shrubs.
Maintains rose bushes and other delicate plantings throughout the season
Asks questions of immediate Gardening Supervisor when unsure of what needs to be done
Has a positive attitude, is dependable, trustworthy and can be part of a team when gardening.
Must be able to lift 25lbs min.
Simply Miraculous supplies shirts, sweatshirts, and hats.
All Tools needed to perform detailed gardening tasks are provided for each gardener.
Hourly pay is contingent on experience and availability. Pay is negotiable to those individuals who have experience and exceptional FINE GARDENING SKILLS
Shirts, hats, and sweatshirts are provided. Each fine gardener will be given their own bucket with specialized fine gardening tools to use each day. If you’d like the opportunity to practice the skills you already have and would like to gain some new ones, please email so we may discuss further.
