Job Overview
As a Flooring Installation Trainer, you’ll play a hands-on role in training and mentoring flooring installers at athletic facilities. You'll lead by example, guiding your team through the installation process, from preparation to final inspection, ensuring top-quality results, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Train team members on proper installation techniques, safety practices, and quality standards through hands-on guidance for a variety of surfaces including wood, vinyl, and rubber.
Lead by example, actively participating in installations and demonstrating craftsmanship and professionalism.
Help the team troubleshoot challenges on-site, ensuring projects stay on track and meet client specifications.
Inspect completed work for craftsmanship, safety, and accuracy, providing feedback for improvement.
Communicate with clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction with the work.
Lead safety training and ensure team adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain tools and equipment, assisting with proper use and care.
Work with supervisors and colleagues to handle project changes and keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
2-3 years of hands-on flooring installation experience.
Strong mentoring skills, able to train and guide team members on the job.
Problem-solving skills to resolve on-site challenges.
Clear communication with both clients and team members.
Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality installations.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
Experience with a variety of flooring tools and equipment including sanders.
Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to a safe working environment.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites across New England.
