Demo Technician

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Demo Technician to support environmental remediation projects in the Northern, MA. This is a field-based position that involves working in active demolition, construction, and excavation environments. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-focused, and ready to work hands-on as part of a team. You will assist senior technicians and project staff in implementing waste handling procedures, site cleanup, and decontamination efforts.

Responsibilities:

Work in demolition, construction, and excavation environments following detailed safety and operational procedures

Operate hand and power tools including jackhammers, concrete drills, and other equipment

Perform tasks from elevated surfaces such as ladders or scaffolding when needed

Excavate contaminated soil or materials by hand and conduct cleanup activities as directed

Bend, crouch, lift, and carry materials as part of heavy manual labor throughout the workday

Assist the Senior Waste Technician with day-to-day field tasks, including setup and breakdown of work areas

Follow safety protocols at all times and actively participate in safety meetings

Report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents immediately to the Site Supervisor

Support implementation of environmental cleanup plans under supervision of project leads

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Physically able to perform demanding labor outdoors in all weather conditions

Familiarity with basic hand tools and small equipment

Willingness to work in potentially hazardous environments with proper PPE and training

Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures

Strong team player with good communication and situational awareness

Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in environmental remediation, waste management, or construction/demolition

Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures

Forklift or equipment operation certification a plus

Pay Range: $20/hr. - $23/hr.
