Stone Ground Landscaping seeks one or two container gardeners and perennial enthusiasts to join our crew.
Who We Are
We are a small, professional residential landscaping company based in Jamaica Plain. We specialize in estate management and property maintenance. We provide multiple services with consistent and focused care to our clients throughout Boston and Brookline. We are a friendly group of dedicated individuals who take pride in our work and appreciate others who do the same. We strive to deliver a consistent, high-quality product that focuses on efficiency and productivity without rushing. We use organic and sustainable methods as much as possible.
What We Offer
We currently have two part-time positions (20 + hours per week) or one full-time position (40 + hours per week) available. Our workday begins at 7:30 AM and can range from 8 to 12 hours, depending on season and workload. Tasks may vary daily and will offer opportunities to learn as you go. We offer a healthy, supportive, enthusiastic team environment. SGL offers a starting salary between $23 and $27 per hour, commensurate with experience. SGL also provides work boots, gloves, and a $10.00 (not taxed) per diem food allowance.
What You Bring
You are a reliable, creative, trustworthy, fun, team player. You are a hard worker, and you are able to take direction and stay focused. You have a collaborative spirit, a willingness to show initiative, and a professional, courteous attitude. You are patient and detail-oriented, comfortable working outside in all weather, and enjoy performing plant installation, perennial maintenance, and container maintenance. Ideally, you have gardening experience (specifically with containers, perennials, and annuals), greenhouse or nursery experience, and/or a working knowledge of horticulture. You also can self-manage, make nursery trips/propose plant substitutions as necessary, confidently drive a small van, identify plant health issues at early onset, and are not opposed to weeding/deadheading. Ideally you love being outside and caring for plants!
