We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician for 2 - 3 commercial office buildings (depending on the location of applicant). They are in Concord/Acton, Hopkinton, and Southborough.
The position is part-time (approx. 12-30 hours per week) with flexible times.
The Maintenance Technician will perform or oversee preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on the buildings and systems; including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general building repairs, HVAC, furniture moves, safety and associated systems and other duties as assigned.
The Maintenance Technician will work and communicate with the Facilities Manager to ensure the reliable operation of building systems, physical appearance, safety and security of all facilities, inside and outside.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing maintenance and upkeep of office building(s) (interior and exterior), as necessary;
Performing or overseeing preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and general building repairs, furniture moves, safety and associated systems and other duties as assigned;
Completing assigned work and maintenance requests from tenants and Facilities Manager in a timely and professional manner;
Executing emergency procedures on building systems and subsystems;
Assisting with tenant renovations, as needed;
Lifting/moving equipment, tools, and building supplies, as necessary;
Reporting to Facilities Manager on the status of the buildings, all repairs and work necessary and requested, any issues raised by tenants and contractors or vendors;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications:
ability to maintain building exterior and curb appeal (i.e., lawn care, landscaping, trash removal, salting sidewalks, etc.);
must be personable, friendly and cooperative and able to communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, vendors and Facilities Manager;
must be effective working independently with minimal supervision;
must be a good problem solver;
must be dependable, reliable, responsive and willing to be on-call 24/7 (when agreed ahead of time);
ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs or more;
must have valid driver’s license and own transportation;
must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
