Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and protocols, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Use of intraoral scanners
Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting surfaces, and adhering to safety standards.
Manage patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
Perform administrative tasks such as updating medical records and managing inventory of dental supplies.
Proficiency in Dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of infection control practices.
Experience with dental software system Dentrix is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patient care.
Hours are flexible, must have Saturday availability.
