Night shift HOME-CARE nurse wanted to take care of a 23-year old young adult. We are looking for Friday and Sunday night from 6p-6a. This is a part-time position with the possibility to grow into full-time. The patient has multiple nurses at home, and you would be collaborating with a team of great nurses.
The patient is paraplegic, vent dependent, has a trach, g-tube feedings, and requires suctioning. His bed is fully electric and adjustable. Overnight shifts are less complicated, and 90% of the time he is asleep.
Requirements:
LPN or RN nurses
Willingness to learn/adjust to new environment
Team player
Non-smoker
Great work ethic
Mom and/or one of our current nurses will provide training.
Our home is located in West Peabody in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house. Our street gets plowed regularly during snow periods.
The patient’s room is large, with a dedicated space for nurses and it is equipped with a TV and free internet access. There are no pets or other children in the house.
There are two options for employment:
One option would be to work as an INDEPENDENT nurse through MassHealth.
Second option would be to work through the nursing agency that provides paid training, benefits, sign-up bonus, and some student-loan relief.
