Harbor Health Services is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at the Elder Service Plan in Mattapan.

Role:

This is a hybrid position, must be available to be in the office in Mattapan, MA as needed, candidates must reside in Massachusetts.

Reporting to the Director of Finance ESP, the PACE Financial Analyst supports Harbor Health’s Elder Service Plan (PACE) plan by providing financial support to include membership reporting and preparing schedules and projects.

Our ideal candidate has strong analytical and Excel skills, with an ability to summarize information with strong attention to detail in the development and maintenance of various spreadsheets and models.

Responsibilities:

Updates, maintains and distributes Membership lists and graphs in Excel and verifies member location and site statistics.

Reconciles Claims System membership to Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Gathers data from various sources and prepares spreadsheets for external benchmarking and bank reporting.

Maintains and tracks revenue data and interprets and summarizes results.

Assists director in preparing medical expense accruals and utilization reports and works with Clinical departments on Medical Savings initiatives.

Pulls claims data, analyzes key cost drivers and summarize results.

Monitors high-cost claimants and provides data to Reinsurer.

Assist in explaining budget versus actual results.

Coordinates new PACE provider contracts; updates contract template and investigates reimbursement, obtains W-9 and Certificate of Liability from contractor, and advises clinical team of status.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting and/or financial analysis, health care experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word and strong proficiency in Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional customer service skills

Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and organize workload

Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Must be able to travel between Harbor sites as needed
