Job Description: As a Dental Assistant, you will work directly with our dentists and hygienists to ensure patients have a comfortable and efficient experience during their visits. You will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative duties, including assisting with dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the office is prepared for each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, oral surgery, endodontics

Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.

Take X-rays and other diagnostic images as needed.

Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary materials are ready for procedures.

Ensure patient comfort during procedures, providing support and answering questions.

Assist with patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.

Maintain patient records, updating charts with treatment details and medical history.

Manage inventory and ensure that dental supplies are stocked and organized.

Assist with managing patient flow and keeping the schedule on track.

Comply with all relevant health and safety standards, including sterilization and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from an accredited dental assistant program preferred.

Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA)

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

Familiarity with dental office software (e.g., Dentrix Ascend is a plus).

Ability to take accurate X-rays

Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-focused attitude.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.

Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
