Support developmentally disabled individuals and partner with them to facilitate daily care, support good health and safety, enhance personal development build and maintain positive relationships, foster self-esteem, meet or exceed individualized goals for success, be active and productive in society and provide transportation as needed.

Hourly rate of pay $19.50

Current Shift Openings:

Weekdays (30 hours) - Monday - Friday 9a - 3p

Evenings (38 hours) – Monday 3p-11p, Tuesday 3p-12a, Wednesday 3p-12a, Thursday 3p-9p, Friday 3p-9p

Weekends (28 hours) – Saturday 9a-11p, Sunday 9a-11p

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide personal care assistance and support to individuals including such tasks as preparing nutritious meals, shopping, and household skills.

Maintain agency standards of cleanliness and safety.

Implement support strategies on goals relating to consumer plans, ISP’s, money management.

Encourage and ensure that personal preferences and goals are a part of each individual’s lives on a daily basis.

Offer opportunities and support the individual’s rights to participate in a full range of community activities, as productive workers, valued neighbors and maintain connections with friends and family members.

Transport individuals to appointments, stores, restaurants, recreational areas and other engagements as needed.

Obtain and maintain certifications such as CPR & First Aid, MAP and other required trainings.

Attend all house meetings and supervision sessions as directed.

As a condition of employment, all prospective applicants will need to provide written proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or interested and willing to learn.

Good judgment and decision-making skills.

Flexible, patient and dependable.

Possess basic computer skills.

Ability to transcribe, read and comprehend English.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
