Adelynrood has an opening for full time chef from July 21 to September 28. We do quality scratch cooking that is served buffet style for between 10 and 80 guests. Our food is seasonal and healthy, with a diverse and flexible menu. The kitchen is spacious, sunny, and well set up. We pride ourselves on offering fine dining in a rustic environment with a relaxed atmosphere.
Some flexibility with schedule is possible, even part time hours. No evenings or holidays required!
This a TEMPORARY JOB that will finish at the end of September. You must be legal to work in this country. No exceptions.
You would be preparing breakfast and lunch, usually Tuesday to Saturday 6:00 AM to 2:30PM with occasional overtime. Experience cooking from scratch is essential. Baking skills for simple desserts is very helpful.
We hope you would want to share your own specialties and to have the flexibility to adapt to the dietary needs of those we cook for. Must have your own transportation. There is no nearby public transit.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and oversee daily breakfast and lunch buffet, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Able to work accurately from recipes when needed.
Basic scratch dessert production.
Ability to adapt recipes to guests with special dietary requirements.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training in cooking techniques and food safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Interacting with guests on a daily basis.
Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time (with a break).
Able to work in an unheated and non air conditioned kitchen.
Very basic computer skills
