Kickstand Cafe, an independent, community-driven cafe in Arlington is looking to expand our team in the kitchen.
DAY-TIME HOURS ONLY. No late nights!
We make wholesome sandwiches, salads and soup from scratch and boy oh boy does it get busy We need help, especially on our busy line.
We're looking for someone who works well as part of a busy team, enjoys making food that makes people happy, and can work quickly and efficiently. This position could be full or part-time. Weekend availability is a must.
The pace is fast, and we work hard to maintain an environment where employees are supported, fairly compensated, have a good time and (of course) are well-fed and well-caffeinated (our baristas are awesome too!).
We are looking for someone who can:
-Perform routine kitchen tasks efficiently
-Prepare cooking ingredients by washing/chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep
-Prepare orders as they are received in a speedy and organized fashion
-Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
Previous food-service experience is preferred we are hoping to fill one full-time position with an experienced cook, open to taking on some supervisory responsibilities. The other position could be part-time.
-Starting hourly wage will TOTAL $22-$28/hr (this comprises a starting hourly wage of $15-18depending on experience plus hourly tips that always range from $7-10 per hour)
