The historic Agawam Diner is looking for a professional Line Cook. Duties include preparation of comfort food dishes for our proven menu. They will also assist with all task related to kitchen management. The successful candidate will play a key role in continued satisfaction of our long-term customers.
Responsibilities
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. meal and prep cook duties)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow all operational instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry's best practices
Ability to reliably commute to 166 Newburyport Turnpike (U.S. Route 1), Rowley MA.
Position Details
Job Types: Part-time with 25-30 hours/week with possible extended hours

Experience
At least one year of cooking experience
Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
Strong organization and active listening skills
The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
Exceptional time management skills
