This well established and well loved 90 seat neighborhood bar & restaurant is seeking an
experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead kitchen operations in our busy, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch concept. This neighborhood favorite takes its cues from the amazing culinary traditions of the Mediterranean; lots of fresh salads, veggies, pickles, dips and grilled meats & fish. The location is a long-established restaurant space in the heart of West Newton, going back 40+ yrs, in a thickly settled affluent community, dense with professionals and families.
Ownership has decades of experience in the city with multiple well known, vibrant & busy bar/restaurant concepts, known for their high quality and friendly hospitality.
The ideal candidate will:

Strong, demonstrable organizational and people management skills are a must. Chef will be responsible for hiring & training all kitchen staff, conducting food inventory, placing all food, pantry & paper orders, and maintaining a clean, healthy environment, and much more. In terms of scheduling, this is a 5 day/week job (45-50 hrs). Sundays and Mondays are a must (non negotiable for the first 6 months). The 5 day schedule is either Thurs-Mon, or Fri - Tues, with one of those days (Thurs or Tues) being an office/off service-line day.
Salary Range: $80K-$90K
