Come join our team! We are an award-winning artisan bakery specializing in hearth baked breads such as sourdoughs, baguettes, ciabatta, and whole grains as well as hand rolled croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, tarts, and seasonal desserts. All of our products are made fresh daily from scratch ingredients. We source locally and regionally whenever possible. We also offer espresso and sandwiches in our café and run a wholesale program providing breads and pastries to area restaurants and shops. Winner of Best of Boston in 2009 and 2012 as well as Best of North Shore every year since 2008.
We are expanding our lunch and breakfast offerings and are looking for a part-time with potential for full time employee to help execute food prep from scratch as well as work the line during service under the kitchen manager. Cafe experience, sandwich making experience, and general food service also acceptable. We are willing to train on any further skills needed in the job. We are also in the process of re-organzing and increasing our dining space along with decor changes. It's an exciting time to join the cafe team!
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Details:
Part time with potential for full time as we expand our hours and assess demand.
Morning and afternoon hours, at least one weekend day necessary.
Knife skills and comfort level with standard appliances, meat slicer, panini press, induction burners, etc.
Ability to take direction, follow recipes, prep lists
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Desire to go the extra mile it takes to process all the beautiful abundance of food we get from local farms
Looking for a go-to team player who understands what it is to work in a kitchen/food service environment.
Someone who is willing to help in all areas in a pinch situation whether it’s doing dishes, deep cleans, or making the most of a surprise surplus of local produce that needs to be process quickly and stocked for future use!
