Delphine’s Kitchen was created to bring the tastes and vibes of the South of France to the Heart of Beverly. Our growing team is motivated to make Delphine’s Kitchen a North Shore community staple. We are a fast paced, casual-but-refined crêperie in the heart of Beverly, and are a regular spot for patrons near and far to meet, dine and enjoy our uniquely French American cuisine and atmosphere. We also pride ourselves on our support of the local community including our reduce + reuse sustainability leadership among local restaurants.

Our menu includes made-to-order sweet & savory crêpes, French pastries, breakfast breads, hearty soups, signature salads & sandwiches, beer & wine and fruity French sirop drinks.

Responsibilities

Position: Baker

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing and baking a variety of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods. This role requires a strong understanding of baking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Responsibilities:

1. Recipe Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients to prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for various baked goods, including cakes, cookies, and pastries.

2. Baking: Operate ovens to bake goods, monitor baking times, and adjust temperatures as needed to ensure the proper texture and color.

3. Decoration: Decorate and finish baked goods with icings, glazes, fillings, and toppings.

4. Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and presentation, and make adjustments as necessary.

5. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of baking ingredients, supplies, and equipment, and reorder as needed.

6. Cleanliness: Keep work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized to meet food safety standards.

7. Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff, including pastry chefs and prep cooks, to coordinate production and ensure timely delivery of baked goods.

8. Menu Development: Contribute ideas and recipes for new baked goods to enhance the menu.

Requirements:

1. Knowledge of baking techniques and principles.

2. Ability to follow recipes accurately.

3. Attention to detail and creativity in decorating baked goods.

4. Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

5. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of ingredients.

6. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
