We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Blondie's Barbecue, our brand-new Texas-style barbecue restaurant, bringing the authentic flavors of Texas to Massachusetts!

As we embark on this exciting journey, we’re looking to hire passionate, dedicated, and patient individuals to join our Back of House team. Our goal is to deliver exceptional experiences to our guests, and each member of our team will play a crucial role in making that happen.

Timeline - Please Note

Blondie's Barbecue is still under construction, and while we anticipate being finished by the beginning of May, the timeline is subject to change based on construction progress. With that in mind, we plan to hold interviews at Blondies during the last week of April and begin training shifts in the first and second week of May. Training will be scheduled over 8 days, and employees will be required to attend at least 4 of those sessions. Please note that any adjustments to the timeline will be communicated as we move forward.

Now Hiring for the Following Positions:

Smokehouse Operator

Responsible for managing early-morning smoker operations, maintaining precise temperatures, and ensuring consistent, high-quality smoked meats every day.

Dishwasher

Keep our kitchen clean, organized, and running like clockwork. You'll be the backbone of our operation—handling dishes, equipment, and maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Prep Cook

Help set the stage for service by prepping meats, chopping veggies, mixing sauces, and keeping everything stocked and ready to go.

Line Cook

Work the line during peak hours, grill meats to perfection, plate dishes with pride, and hustle with the team to deliver top-quality food every time.

Expeditor (Expo)

Be the bridge between kitchen and dining room—organize completed orders, check for accuracy and presentation, and communicate with FOH staff to keep the rhythm of service smooth and fast.

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Back of House Staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen and food preparation areas. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure that all food items are prepared, stored, and presented according to our high standards. This position is essential for delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

Barbecue isn’t just a meal—it’s an all-day, 7-days-a-week process that starts long before the doors open. The smokehouse runs around the clock, and whoever steps into the role of Smokehouse Operator needs to be ready for the early grind. That means strange shifts, quiet mornings, and being on-site by 5 AM to check the smokers and make sure every brisket, rib, and pork shoulder is on track. Consistency and timing are everything—because real BBQ doesn’t happen fast, and the fire never sleeps.

Prior kitchen experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train the right people!

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the kitchen staff.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed diligently.

Stock supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring that all items are fresh and properly stored.

Support the culinary team during peak service times by providing assistance with food plating and presentation.

Participate in regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and report any shortages to management.

Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment focused on teamwork and efficiency.

Requirements

Ability to lift at least 20 pounds overhead

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

A passion for food and a desire to learn about culinary techniques is a plus.
