Recruit, retain and develop a high-performing team to support essential functions of the role

Create comprehensive policies, practices, processes, and procedures to provide IT financial management, IT contract review & oversight, IT procurement operations including strategic sourcing recommendations, internal communications, project management and enterprise training

Ensure effective interaction and communication with key business leaders to promote a full understanding of enterprise strategies and goals

Provide expert oversight to the IT contract management function including reviewing contract amendments, renewals and extensions with the IT Leadership teams responsible for the systems and/or support services

In partnership with the BCH Finance Team & CIO, establishes robust IT financial management processes for long-range planning & forecasting, fostering quality and fiscal accountability for projections with the BCH IT Leadership Team. Leveraging BCH financial & HR reporting tools to build financial and business acumen within the BCH IT Leadership Team

Act as a strategic partner to the CIO & Deputy CIO during strategic and tactical IT planning, contract negotiations with partners and vendors, develops standard vendor management processes for BCH IT Leadership, and all aspects of IT Service Delivery

Develop and present a mechanism, in partnership with the BCH Finance Team and their expectations, for annual BCH IT OpEx and CapEx Budgets. Proactively monitor and provide performance metrics based on budget targets, Service Level Agreements, and Portfolio Management metrics

Identifies programs and processes internal to IT, benefits that are particularly productivity-related, to measure the value of IT in a manner that is consistent with the BCH organization’s productivity and financial goals

Devise communication strategies and plans that engage IT team members with the BCH organization’s mission and goals and the mission and goals of the CIO for the department. Helps to foster a strong culture within BCH IT and increase external stakeholder awareness of the BCH IT services, events, and results

Support the BCH IT content on the internal and external-facing web portals for BCH

With the IT PMO Team, champion and own the development and reporting on project/program statuses and success criteria. Oversee the management of multiple stakeholders’ (internal to IT and external to IT) projects.

Collaborate with the BCH HR Talent Development Team to support focus on the execution of BCH HR processes, guidelines, and people-related programs that optimize productivity, sharpen people-leadership skills for leaders, increase engagement, increase retention, enhance BCH IT team member engagement & experience, and support the BCH IT culture that the CIO is buildin

Partners with the CMIO, CNIO, Chief Pharmacy Officer, Ambulatory & Procedural Services Leadership, the BCH Physician Organization, Revenue Cycle Management Leadership, Finance Leadership, HR

To qualify you must have:

A Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of experience in IT, with 7 years in a management capacity in a large, complex healthcare organization or vendor

Unique combination of operational expertise, business process management principles, ITIL practices, and strategic planning to drive IT operational effectiveness at all levels of the department

Ability to lead effectively and utilize social influence to achieve departmental and organizational objectives

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders & vendors

Ability to negotiate, plan & organize, analyze and resolve problems
