Play an integral role in a groundbreaking project aimed at characterizing normal cell lines to understand their diverse expression profiles

Aid in developing robust hazard identification models, which are essential for ensuring the safety of our therapeutic products.

Engage with a variety of cellular and molecular biology tools

Work closely with a team of experienced scientists, contributing to experimental design, data collection, and data analysis, that will directly support the identification and validation of biomarkers over time, enhancing our ability to predict and mitigate potential hazards.

The intern will be provided training on a variety of techniques and basic analytical methods such that the intern generates and analyzes data to inform platform understanding of Takeda’s portfolio.Internship Development Opportunities:Students will gain real-world experience working as part of a drug discovery team. The intern will have the chance to learn about the group’s culture, Takeda’s values, as well as basic cell and molecular biology techniques. Our group believes in the importance of training competent scientists that will be interested in working with us again in the future.Job Requirements:

This position will be Fully Onsite and require 4+ days in the Cambridge, MA office per week.

Candidate must be currently pursuing their PhD

Experience with Cell culture of primary and immortalized tumor cell lines.

Understanding of basic molecular/cell biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, western blot, and immunofluorescence).

Experience with RNA-Seq analysis and/or high content imaging is a plus.

Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)

Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering

Highly reliable and a strong team player

Flexible with an attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later

The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd)

The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates

Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.For Location:Boston, MAU.S. Hourly Wage Range:$21.00 - $46.00The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
