Job Description

The Unit Coordinator is a liaison to all departments and is the key pivotal communication link between multiple disciplines associated with patient care and the smooth functioning of the unit.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year medical/administrative experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to read, write and understand extensive medical terminology in such duties as transcribing medication orders for a wide variety of services.
  • High level of customer service and interpersonal skills required for interacting effectively and cordially with a wide variety of hospital personnel, visitors and patients.
  • Ability to perform in stressful situations and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
